Update: 9/21/2023

• Save the date for Mayor Muriel Bowser on Wednesday, October 18th at 7pm for a discussion on bringing the Commanders back to RFK Stadium.

• We will meet in person at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church located at 320 21st Street NE Washington DC. Parking is available in the back lot on 20th street.

• Final stages of demolition and razing of RFK Stadium is scheduled to begin November or December of 2023.

Protected Bike Lanes:

• 19th Street Project

  • Connects cyclists on C Street to Benning Road NE

  • DDOT Notice of Intent: NOI-23-64-PSD 

  • ANC 7D has requested revisions that include a future plan for Friendship Blow-Pierce Elementary and Middle School school busses and parent pick up/drop off procedures.

Transportation Safety:​

• See presentation given during 7D's May public meeting.

• Seeking multiple traffic safety studies at the intersections of:

  • C Street, D Street, 21st Street, and Oklahoma Avenue NE

    • Ease morning rush hour congestion

    • Increase pedestrian safety around the Triangle Park with new sidewalks, crosswalks, and handicap access. 

    • Safely control drivers making left hand turns onto Oklahoma Avenue from C St.​

Parking:

• Currently working to resolve the obsolete No Parking During "Stadium Events" signs that are unenforceable during festivals that take place on the surrounding RFK Campus Lots. DDOT needs to remove these signs.

DC Water Construction Projects:

• New sewer line being installed at 21st and D St. to fix chronic flooding. 

• Permit ends May 31st, scheduled to be completed on time.
